1. Climate Suitability

The warm climate is suitable for the growth of black turmeric. The temperature should range from 15 to 40°. 

2. Preparation of Land

Black turmeric grows well in matiyar, loam, bullai, kinds of land. Make the soil brittle and arrange good drainage before ploughing. Add dung manure at about 20 tons per hectare in your field. 

3. Sowing – Time and Method

Old rhizomes that were collected and stored in the sand in a moist area during summer are used for sowing. Cut them into small pieces when new germination occurs.
